Our company name: 8E6 Inc.

Our new company, scheduled to be founded in Kyoto in October 2026, will be called 8E6 Inc. — pronounced *hachi-e-roku* in Japanese.

8E6 is how scientists and engineers write 8×10⁶, or eight million. In Japanese, eight million is *yaoyorozu*, as in *yaoyorozu no kami*, the "eight million gods" said to dwell in Japan. In Shinto, the divine can be found in countless things: in mountains, in rivers, even in everyday tools.

We chose this name to carry what we set out to do: help Japanese culture evolve through science.
