商号を「8E6株式会社」に決定しましたCompany name decided: 8E6
2026年10月に京都で設立を予定している新会社の商号を「8E6株式会社」に決定しました。読み方は「ハチイーロク」です。
8E6 は、科学や工学で数を書くときの表記で 8×10⁶、つまり 800万 を指します。日本語で800万といえば「八百万（やおよろず）」。数えきれないほど多い、という意味の古い言葉です。
理系の数字の書き方が、そのまま日本の古い言葉になる。日本文化を扱い、エンタメをつくり、技術で形にする会社の名前として、これ以上のものはないと思いました。
本店は京都市東山区の SIGHTS KYOTO に置く予定です。設立後は、体験ツアー、AI研修、AI開発・研究開発、イベント・ショー運営の4つの事業を展開します。
The new company, scheduled to be founded in Kyoto in October 2026, will be named 8E6 — pronounced *hachi-e-roku* in Japanese.
8E6 is how scientists and engineers write 8×10⁶, or eight million. In Japanese, eight million is *yaoyorozu*, an old word that simply means *countless*.
A notation from science turns out to be an old Japanese word. For a company that works with Japanese culture, makes entertainment, and builds things with technology, we could not ask for a better name.
The head office will be at SIGHTS KYOTO in Higashiyama, Kyoto. After incorporation, we will run four businesses: experiences, AI training, AI development and R&D, and events and shows.
